What began as a small idea to help a few neighbors in Vernon NJ has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
The Knead & Nourish Community Pantry was created with one simple goal: to make sure no one in our community has to choose between groceries, hygiene, and basic necessities. Since then, it has become a place of support, compassion, and connection serving families throughout Sussex County and built entirely on neighbors helping neighbors entirely on neighbors helping neighbors.
We work hard to provide fresh meals and pantry staples for families as often as possible, with homemade soups, breads, and meals offered regularly when available. Our hope is to not only help fill pantries, but to also offer comfort, warmth, and dignity through food made with care.

This pantry is 100% community-supported and volunteer-run. Much of the cost to restock and maintain supplies has been covered personally, with the help of family and other generous donors. As the need continues to grow, we are currently working toward obtaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit status so that donations can go even further and provide additional support for those who give and those who receive.
